Gautham Menon-Vijay's Yohan put on the back burner!

Gautham Menon's mega-budget films Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru seems to be put on the back burner. The filmmaker and the actor have reportedly decided to work on different projects before teaming up for the first time.
Grapevine has it that Gautham Menon, who is currently busy with Neethaane En Ponvasantham, is likely to start Surya's long-awaited Thuppariyum Anandhan, a detective-thriller, soon after the completion of Jeeva-Samantha starrer movie. On the other end, Vijay is currently filming AR Murugadoss' Thuppakki and he is expected to start his next with AL Vijay. However, the reason for the unexpected-delay of Yohan is yet to be revealed.

Earlier, the makers of Yohan has claimed that the movie was the first of its kind (in South India) action thriller centring around a character that will be featured in a series of films (prequels and sequels). The film will be shot in international locations, predominantly in the United Kingdom with the active support of UK government.

On the other end, Vijay had said "I am very excited about this project. Gautham and I have been talking about working together for a while and I'm glad that it"s finally materialized. Yohan is a totally new space for me and I'm sure my fans will love this action-thriller film. I am also excited about working with Photon Kathaas and Eros and am sure we will together create a landmark South Indian film."

Hollywood Actress for Vijay in Yohan?

Gautham Menon is trying to rope in a Hollywood actress in his forthcoming project Yohan Adhyayam Ondru with Vijay.

Vijay’s Yohan Adhyayam Ondru shooting is all set to roll from July. Gautham Menon director of Yohan has tweeted via Twitter that Yohan will start his journey in July.

With Thuppakki nearing completion Vijay will movie on to Yohan from July. Official announcement about the final cast and crew of the movie is expected to be announced soon.

Vijay to romance an international face in Yohan

Actor Vijay, who is busy filming his upcoming movie Thuppakki directed by AR Murugadoss, will have an international co-star in Gautham Menon's Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. Well, the actor will be reportedly pairing up with a Hollywood actress for which the hunt is on.

Recently, there were reports that Shruti Hassan would be romancing Vijay in Yohan. However, clearing the rumours, Gautham Menon has said that he is not hunting a local talent at all and he wants to rope in an international face.

It may be recalled that Gautham Menon had earlier said Yohan Adhyayam Ondru would be made in the Hollywood standards. He claimed, "Yohan will be made like an international film while still retaining all the elements, especially music, that makes Indian cinema work." The latest development make us believe that the director is doing his best to make Yohan in global standards.
