SS Rajamouli's Naan Ee does record collection in TN

SS Rajamouli has broken his own record at Tamil Box Office with his latest movie Naan Ee, the Tamil version of Eega. The Sudeep starrer movie has collected more than Rs 18 crores in its third week, thereby breaking the records of Maaveeran, the dubbed version of Magadheera.

Reports say that Naan Ee has collected Rs 18.22 crore in three weeks. This is the highest ever collection for a dubbed Tamil movie. Despite facing a tough competition from Billa 2 in the second and third weeks, the movie has managed to make wonderful business, as it is still rocking at 185 screens in Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, the Telugu version of Naan Ee has done an earth-shattering collection not only in domestic Box Office but also at international Box Office. It has raked in above Rs 50 crores in two versions. Naan Ee starring Sudeep, Samantha and Nani is a techno-graphical extravaganza directed by SS Rajamouli. It is the story of a fly seeking revenge against a man.

Chennai Box-Office Collection Report July 20 to 22

Ajith`s Billa 2 continues to rule the Chennai Box Office in its second weekend, though there has been a fall. It once again proves that Ajith is the best opener in Kollywood.

At number two is Christopher Nolan`s The Dark Knight Rises. The film has taken an extraordinary opening in Chennai multiplexes, but is average in single screens. It is number two at the Chennai Box Office.

In the third place is SS Rajamouli`s Naan Ee, which continues its stranglehold at the box-office in its third weekend. The film is attracting the family audiences.

Ajith Kumar's Billa 2 doing wonders at Box Office Collection

The star power of Ajith Kumar is working big time again. Despite getting mixed reviews from critics and audience, the movie has made a stunning business at the Box Office in the first weekend.

According to the traders, Billa 2 has earned around Rs 19 crore nett in the first weekend in Tamil Nadu. The movie, which was released on July 13, ran into packed houses in most of the theatres in Tamil Nadu. On an average, the occupancy at cinema halls for the movie was 95% in single screens as well as multiplexes.

As far as the international Box Office is concerned, the movie has collected approximately Rs 30.69 lakhs (UK£35,930) nett at the UK Box Office on the first day and on Saturday, it raked in approximately 17.61 lakhs (£20,620).

At Australian Box Office, it has collected approximately 13.72 lakhs (A$24,469) and 8.90 lakhs (A$15,874) on Friday and Saturday, respectively. At the US, Billa 2 grossed 35.10 lakhs and 22.09 lakhs approximately on Friday and Saturday at reported screens and the figure might be bigger when the complete report is out.

1. Billa 2 - Good Opening
Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti who directed the film unnaipol oruvan. There is no credits goes to chakri toleti for billa 2 due to his worst direction. Billa 2 is Only for the One man thala Ajith. So much of negative reviews for this film. By the way billa 2 is the Number 1 spot in this week box office report. Billa 2 is not full fill the ajith fans expectations due to worst direction.

2. Naan ee - Hit
Naan Ee is a bilingual socio fantasy film written and directed by S S Rajamouli, made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. It stars Sudeep, Samantha and Nani. M. M. Keeravani composed the film's music while K. K. Senthil Kumar handled cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao helmed the editing.Nice animated by the director rajamouli. Familiy watching film and childrens are very much like this film. Naan ee is 2nd spot of this week chennai box office report.

3. Saguni - Above Average
Saguni is a Tamil political satire film directed by Shankar Dayal. The film features Karthi and Pranitha in the lead roles, while Santhanam, Roja, Prakash Raj, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Nassar appear in supporting roles. Saguni is 3rd Spot in this week chennai box office report.


4. Manam Kothi Paravai - Hit
Manam Kothi Paravai is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Thulladha Manamum Thullum fame Ezhil, starring Sivakarthikeyan and debutant Aathmiya in lead roles. D. Imman has scored the music. The film opened to moderate reviews from critics. Manam Kothi Paravai is 4th spot in this week chennai box office report.
